- Constructing a full-scale replica Mayflower ship
- Delivering skills training, job and volunteering opportunities for young people
- Creating a new Project and Maritime Visitor Centre (making use of transferable shipbuilding skills)
- Planning the Mayflower voyage to America in 2020 with the new Adventurers and Pilgrims
Achievements
- Basic refurbishment of historic Harwich Town Station – the end of The Mayflower Line
- Basic refurbishment of railway buildings to create a design workshop with viewing gallery
- 220 tons Oak-wood sourced and stored
- 200 products made and sold each month
- 700 local youngsters awarded qualifications/completed Apprenticeships in Marine Engineering, Construction and Business Administration
- over 30 have gained employment.
- 15 jobs have been created
- 20 volunteers regularly engaged in the project
- 450 visitors attracted every month
- £2000 raised from local collecting pots
