Qube Learning & The Harwich Mayflower Project

November 24, 2014 by Admin

Harwich Mayflower Project is delighted to announce that they are now working in partnership with Qube Learning. Staff at the Harwich Mayflower Project are now able to offer training in Painting and Decorating, basic woodwork skills and pre-employment skills to Job Seekers in the local area. The courses will be delivered under the banner of ‘The Mayflower Skills Programme’

The courses will be delivered from our training centre in the Old Harwich Town Railway Station. Since it was founded in 1999 Qube-Learning has developed, and delivered, a vast range of vocational courses and short-course provision, offering the highest quality of learning in partnership with large national companies, smaller regional companies, charities and other partners, we are thrilled that the Mayflower project will be continuing this partnership work.

Paul Cruddas, the Harwich Mayflower Project Training Centre Manager, went on to say ‘It is our vision to offer a choice of high calibre courses in a range of sectors to local people.’ He added ‘This new announcement is just one part of our longer-term vision to help Harwich and Tendring resident’s access training, education and employment opportunities. The excellent position of our training centre, for both bus and train links, will make it even more possible for people to improve their employability skills without having to travel as far as Clacton or Colchester.’

Harwich Mayflower Project and Qube-Learning have responded to local requests for more training to be offered. This is a great boost to the local area and will help up-skill as many people as possible to take advantage of the improving economic situation in the UK. This partnership allows us to be totally flexible to the needs of local employers and residents alike.
